Charlie Prince (1991) est un interprète et créateur de danse. Né dans les montagnes de Liban, il réside entre Canada, Europe et Beirut. En tant qu'interprète, il a collaboré entre autres avec Benoit Lachambre (CA), Compagnie Alias (CH), La Biennale di Venezia (dir. Marie Chouinard) et a travaillé avec Omar Rajeh - Maqamat (LB/FR) en tant qu'interprète et créateur depuis 2016. Son travail chorégraphique a été présenté dans plusieurs festivals et théâtres importants - dont SPRING Festival (NL), Dansmakers (NL), Rencontres Chorégraphiques internationales Seine St.Denis ( FR), Oktoberdans (NO) et BIPOD (LB). Charlie est également titulaire d'un baccalauréat en musique de l'Université McGill. En 2018, il reçoit le Prix de la Fondation Boghossian pour la Danse et la Performance décerné par la Villa Empain à Bruxelles.
Charlie Prince (1991) is a performer and dance-maker. Born and raised in the mountains of Lebanon - he is now based between Europe and Beirut. As an artist - Charlie is interested in the place of the body within post-colonial imaginaries as a means to subvert and resist imperial legacies. As a performer, he has collaborated among others with Benoit Lachambre (CA), Compagnie Alias (CH), La Biennale di Venezia (dir. Marie Chouinard) and has been working with Omar Rajeh - Maqamat (LB/FR) as a performer and maker since 2016. His choreographic work has been presented in several important festivals and theatres - including SPRING Festival (NL), Dansmakers (NL), Rencontres Chorégraphiques internationales Seine St.Denis (FR), Oktoberdans (NO) and BIPOD (LB). Charlie also holds a Bachelor of Music from McGill University. In 2018 he received the Boghossian Foundation Prize for Dance and Performance awarded by Villa Empain in Brussels.
